London, Nov 27: Arsenal delivered a commanding performance at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night, outplaying Bayern Munich 3–1 in a high-voltage clash between the leaders of the English and German leagues. With this victory, the Gunners extended their flawless Champions League record this season.

The match burst into life in the 22nd minute when Jurrien Timber powered in a header off a Bukayo Saka corner, showcasing Arsenal’s continued dominance from set-pieces. Bayern, however, struck back swiftly. A clever sequence involving Joshua Kimmich and Serge Gnabry set up 17-year-old Lennart Karl, who finished confidently past David Raya to level the score in the 32nd minute.

While Bayern entered the tie as table-toppers, Arsenal seized control in the second half. Saka and Rice kept up the pressure, forcing goalkeeper Manuel Neuer into multiple saves. But Bayern’s resistance finally broke when substitute Riccardo Calafiori intercepted a mispass from Dayot Upamecano and squared it for Noni Madueke, who neatly restored Arsenal’s lead.

Minutes later, another moment of calamity struck the German champions. A long ball from Eberechi Eze caught Neuer off his line, allowing Gabriel Martinelli to glide past the stranded keeper and calmly guide the ball home, sealing a memorable victory.

For Bayern’s star striker Harry Kane, the return to London was far from pleasant. The former Tottenham talisman struggled to find influence, as Arsenal’s backline kept him firmly in check.
Reflecting on the hard-fought win, Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice told TNT Sports:

“This was probably the toughest game tactically we have played this season… There is a hunger and desire to win every game. Let’s not get carried away — there’s a long way to go.”

With five wins out of five, Arsenal’s European campaign continues to gather momentum, leaving their fans dreaming of a deep run in this year’s competition.
