Mangaluru, Nov 28: The Centre for Advanced Learning (CFAL), Mangaluru, is all set to host Makers’ Fete 2025, a full-day festival of science, innovation, design, engineering, creativity and problem-solving on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at the CFAL Campus, Akashbhavan. With prizes worth Rs 2 lac, this year’s edition is expected to be bigger, bolder and more engaging than previous editions.
Last year, Makers’ Fete saw a large turnout from students, educators, innovators and families across the region. This year’s event is anticipated to surpass those numbers with more immersive exhibits, demonstrations and competitions designed to test creativity and problem-solving skills.













What’s new this year
Makers' Fete 2025 brings an expanded lineup of spotlight events encouraging students to build, experiment, innovate and compete:
Spotlight competitions
• Bot Soccer – Robots programmed to dribble, pass and score in a dynamic arena.
• RC Car Racing – A race of precision engineering and control.
• The Maker Challenge – Innovating practical solutions to real-world problems.
• Egg Drop Challenge – Designing crash-proof safety devices for an egg.
• Byte Wars – A timed coding and algorithm challenge.
• Rubik’s Cube Contest – A test of logic and speed.
• Mystic Matrix: Sudoku – A competitive logic-based contest.
• Mock Press – A stage event assessing wit and presentation skills.
• Flash Fingers Speed Typing – A typing competition to determine the fastest participant.
• Breakthrough Challenge – Presenting solutions for a sustainable future.
These events will be supported by interactive learning experiences, including physics demonstrations, nitrogen experiments, culinary science, maths puzzles, light painting, face painting, quizzes, heritage photography and more.
