Udupi, Nov 28: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at Car Street in Udupi Sri Krishna Math, where he was warmly welcomed by devotees and locals who had gathered in large numbers. As he proceeded along the route, the Prime Minister viewed the historic Ashta Maths, which are integral to the traditions of the Udupi Sri Krishna temple.

Upon reaching the Kanaka Gopura, the Prime Minister alighted from his vehicle and offered floral tributes to the statue of Kanakadasa. He then had the sacred darshan of Lord Krishna through the Kanakana Kindi, the iconic window associated with Kanakadasa’s devotion.

Prime Minister Modi also inaugurated the newly gold-plated Kanakana Kindi (Kanaka Kavacha), marking a significant moment during his visit.

At the main entrance of Sri Krishna Math, the Prime Minister was accorded a traditional Poornakumbha welcome. Seers of the Math and various elected representatives extended their greetings to him.

Following this, Modi proceeded to the sacred Madhwa Sarovara, performed Teertha Prokshane, and then entered the inner premises of the Math to continue his visit and participate in the scheduled rituals.
