Mangalore: St Agnes College Wins Championship at SAC 'Prerana' Fest

Mangalore, Feb 19: 'Prerana', an inter-collegiate Hindi fest was organized by St Aloysius College (Autonomous) here on Saturday February 18.

The formal inaugural function commenced at 9 am in the main auditorium. Prakash Pai, senior assistant secretary of NMPT was the chief guest.

Fr Swebert D'Silva, principal of St Aloysius College presided over the function. Dr Mukund Prabhu, head of the department of Hindi and Judy Pinto, vice-principal, St Aloysius College were present in the dais.

Students from six colleges from Mangalore and Udupi district were present. Different events like 'Dil Mange Mor', treasure hunt, quiz, mad ads, radio jockey and turn coat were conducted. St Agnes College won the overall championship.

The prizes were distributed to the winners of the events in a formal valedictory function which commenced at around 4 pm. S L Shet of MGM College, Udupi was the chief guest. Qudsiya Begam, Dr Mukund Prabhu and Mehboob Ali Nadaaf of St Aloysius College were present in the dais.
