Mangalore: Kids on Wheels Zip and Zoom at Roller Skating Competition

Mangalore, Feb 19: City-based Roller Skating Club organized its 11th inter-school roller skating competition here on Saturday February 18 and Sunday February 19.

The competition was organized to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Mangalore Roller Skating Club. As many as 230 skaters from 29 schools from all over the district took part in the competition, said Praveen Kumar, president of the club.

Sudheer Kannur, corporator and Roopa D Bangera, corporator of Kadri inaugurated the event. There were two competitions - rink race and road race.

The rink race was held on Saturday evening and the road race was held on Sunday early morning near Kadri Park.

Sharanya Mahesh, who won the 14th Asian Roller Skating Championship medal and 7 other winners of the competition were felicitated on the occasion, said Mahesh. Kumar.
