Mangalore, Feb 20: All India Peerless Employees’ Union, a CITU-affiliated organization organized its ‘9th Southern Zonal Conference’ at CBEU Golden Jubilee Hall, Kodialbail, on Sunday February 19.
 
The conference venue was named as ‘Dr K Pandith Nagaram’ as he was a senior trade union leader of the country and vice-president of CITU. Delegates from the three southern states of Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu were present at the conference.

The programme was inaugurated by B Madhava, vice-president of CTIU Karnataka state. Vasanth Acharya, Balakrishna Acharya, Gautham Chatterjee, Kamal Bhattachary, and VA Kumar were among others who were also present. Leaders from fraternal trade unions like LIC, banks, railway, RMS, BSNL, Raitha Sangha, DYFI, and SFI addressed the gathering.
 
After the discussions, the report and accounts was placed by the general secretary and treasurer KB Benny and STSP Rama Rao, respectively. Delegates elected a new zonal committee.
 
The conference adopted resolutions like urging the central government and Reserve Bank of India to see that Peerless management starts viable business model including life insurance to save thousands of office and filed employees as well as holders, and making a success of the 2-02-2012 All India Industrial against anti-politics of central government, stated the press release.
