Mangaluru, Dec 12: Srinivas University, Institute of Management and Commerce (IMC), and Institute of Port, Shipping and Logistics Management (IPSLM), Department of MBA, hosted the International Conference on Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Social Transformation in the Digital Era (ICIESD – 2025) on December 12 and 13 at its City Campus (Old Building), Pandeshwar, Mangaluru.
The conference was organised in association with Maaref University of Applied Sciences, Sarmada, Syria, reflecting a strong academic collaboration aimed at fostering global knowledge exchange.










The conference sought to bring together international scholars, academicians, researchers, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and students to deliberate on emerging trends, opportunities, and challenges in an increasingly digital world.
The programme was inaugurated by P B Ahmed Mudassar, president, Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), who emphasised the importance of nurturing entrepreneurship, innovation, and creativity for sustainable growth.
Dr Anjay Kumar Mishra, professor and dean, Madhesh University, Birgunj, Nepal, highlighted the societal importance of education in today’s digital era.
Dr Satyanarayana Reddy, vice-chancellor, Srinivas University, underlined the growing role of digital innovation and entrepreneurship in driving economic and social progress.
Dr Preveen B M, research director, conveyed his best wishes for the conference and appreciated the relevance of the theme in the contemporary digital landscape. He stressed that such academic platforms play a vital role in promoting high-quality research, interdisciplinary collaboration, and knowledge sharing among scholars, practitioners, and industry experts. He also commended the organizing committee for successfully bringing together participants from India and abroad.
The session witnessed the presence of Dr Venkatesh Amin, dean, IMC & IPSLM; Dr Shailashri V T, research coordinator, IMC; Dr Kavyashree K, HoD, MBA; Dr Venkatesh B M; and Dr Nikshitha Shetty, along with other distinguished participants from across the globe.
The conference hosted 30 research paper presentations in parallel sessions, showcasing diverse perspectives and scholarly contributions.
