Panaji, Dec 13: The memory of late Manohar Parrikar remains deeply etched in Goa’s public life as people across the state marked the former defence minister and ex-chief minister’s birth anniversary with heartfelt tributes. Remembered for his simplicity, integrity, and forward-looking leadership, Parrikar’s legacy continues to inspire both citizens and leaders alike.

The chief minister noted that several key development projects initiated during Parrikar’s tenure were brought to completion by the present government, reflecting the lasting impact of his vision for Goa’s growth and governance. Leaders recalled that his people-first approach and commitment to transparent administration laid a strong and enduring foundation for the state’s progress.

A memorial erected in Parrikar’s honour at Miramar served as the centre of commemorations. The chief minister, accompanied by ministers and senior leaders, offered floral tributes there, paying respect to a leader whose ideals and contributions continue to guide Goa’s journey forward.
