Mangaluru, Dec 15: A day of profound gratitude and joy unfolded at St Joseph the Worker Church, Vamanjoor, as the Missionary Sisters of the Queen of Apostles celebrated the golden and silver jubilees of Religious Profession of six sisters.
The Congregation joyfully honored the Golden Jubilarians — Sr Maria Goretti Quadros, Sr M Jaya Mathias, Sr M Emily D’Souza, and Sr M Laurentia D’Souza — who completed 50 years of committed religious life. Alongside them, the Silver Jubilarians — Sr Dora Mascarenhas and Sr Sylvia Sequeira — were recognized for 25 years of faithful service.


































































The solemn thanksgiving mass, held at 10 am, was officiated by Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Mangalore, and concelebrated by Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi and many priests. In his homily, the bishop highlighted the sisters dedication and faithfulness, acknowledging their role in bringing Christ into the lives of many through their service and witness. The liturgy was enriched with heartfelt prayers and hymns, expressing deep gratitude for the gift of vocation.
Following the Mass, a felicitation programme was held at the Sabha Bhavan Hall, Vamanjoor, where priests, sisters, benefactors, friends, and well-wishers gathered to honor the jubilarians. The assembly was moved by the message of appreciation sent from the superior general, Sr Zeena D’Souza, which conveyed gratitude for the sisters’ years of service and steadfast faith. Sr Leena Valookaran the provincial superior of Mangalore province congratulated and acknowledged the untiring service of the Jubilarians.
The celebration concluded in a spirit of fellowship meal and thanksgiving, marking the jubilarians’ journey of grace-filled commitment and the abundant blessings that have accompanied their religious life.
