Harmony Christmas Gathering 2025 held at Sneha Jyothi Social Service Centre, Hale Soraba

Hale Soraba, Dec 14: “Sharing the education, knowledge, and resources we possess with those in need and finding joy in the happiness of others’ lives should be the noblest quality of a human being,” said Fr Robert D’Mello.

He was addressing parents during the harmony Christmas celebration organized for students and parents by the Sneha Jyothi Social Service Centre, Hale Soraba. In his message, he urged parents to teach and motivate children to develop the habit of sharing and mutual care.

Mohammed Rafiq Madani, a religious leader from the Jumma Masjid, Hosapete Hakkalu, in his address emphasized that social service and educational institutions must continuously nurture the spirit of harmony among students. He called upon parents to strengthen values such as communal harmony, coexistence, tolerance, and emotional unity for building a prosperous India. Venugopal, retired BSNL manager, explained the essence of the Bhagavad Gita. Students Kumari Swathi Shetty, Kumari Jenelia, and Kumar Tameem carried the holy scriptures—the Bhagavad Gita, the Bible, and the Qur’an in a procession. After garlanding the scriptures, the dignitaries on the dais listened as students recited key verses from each holy book.

Sr Harshita, supervisor, Maria Bodewig Convent, and Sr Joel, director, Sneha Jyothi Social Service Centre were present on the stage. Students from Kuppugadde, Mutuguppe, Uraganahalli, and Hulatikkoppa villages entertained the gathering with cultural dances.

The programme began with a Christmas tableau by Maria Bodewig Boarding children. Manjappa M K welcomed the gathering, Sr Joel delivered the vote of thanks, and Subraya Hallar compered the programme. Around 600 parents participated and received the message of harmony and Christmas goodwill. The programme concluded with a community meal.
