MCC Qatar crowned winners & runners-up of ISC Qatar Ladies Box Cricket Tournament

Doha, Dec 16: As part of the ISC Winter Khel Mahotsav, the Mangalore Cricket Club (MCC) Qatar registered a remarkable achievement at the ISC Ladies Box Cricket Tournament – Season 2, held on December 12 at Pearling Sports Academy, Al Mansoura, Doha, by emerging as both champions and runners-up among eight competing teams. The tournament was organised by the Indian Sports Center (ISC), the apex body of Embassy of India in Doha, Qatar.

MCC Team 1, captained by Reshma Fernandes with Kavya Badoni as vice-captain, clinched the championship. The champion squad also included Trupthi Kale, Sabheeja Panayan, Roshni Sebastian, Neetha Abraham, Lavita Rodrigues, and Nageshwari Kannoju, under the guidance of manager Shameen Lewis.

MCC Team 2, led by Flavia D’Souza and vice-captain Sathya Sasikumar, finished as runners-up. The team comprised Sujatha Fernandez, Shalini Lobo, Renjini Sukumaran, Jacintha Mabel Pereira, Rashmi Saldanha, Iral Gladna D’Souza, and Loycey Mendonca, managed by Naveen Dsouza.

Individual accolades further highlighted MCC’s dominance, with Sathya Sasikumar (MCC Team 2) named best batter and player of the tournament, while Trupthi Kale (MCC Team 1) received the Best Bowler of the Tournament award.

MCC congratulates all players and sincerely thanks the coaches, managers, support staff, and supporters for their dedication and contributions to this success.
