Mangaluru, Dec 17: Lourdes Central School organized a trekking expedition to Konajekallu for the students of NCC, Junior Red Cross (JRC), Scouts and Guides with objective of promoting physical fitness, teamwork, leadership qualities and environmental awareness among students on Dec 13.

The group started from the school premises and reached Konajekallu. Upon arrival, students were given safety instructions and guidelines for trekking. The trekking actively commenced thereafter under the close supervision of seven teachers, accompanied by the principal, ensuring discipline, safety and proper guidance throughout the journey.

The trek provided students with an opportunity to experience nature closely, improve their physical stamina and develop confidence and leadership skills. After successfully completing the trek, the group returned safely to the school premises. The programme concluded smoothly without any untoward incidents.
