Sullia, Dec 21: An auto was damaged after it was hit by a heavy truck near the Panjigaru petrol bunk on the Bellare–Ninthikallu road on Sunday.

According to sources, the truck had broken down on the road due to an engine failure and was left stranded. While several people were attempting to push the truck aside to clear traffic, it suddenly rolled backwards on the mud road and rammed into an oncoming auto.

The impact caused damage to the auto-rickshaw. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported in the incident.

The incident briefly disrupted traffic movement in the area before normalcy was restored.
