Udupi: Congress Workers' Convention Held at Belman

Udupi, Feb 22: Indian National Congress Party Workers' Convention from Belman, Mundkur, Inna, Bola and Nitte Gram Panchayath was held in Sri Krishna Sabha Bhavan, Belman recently.

The large gathering witnessed some of the prominent leaders from the assembly constituency speaking on the occasion. Vasanth Salian, former minister inaugurated the event.

Former minister Jayaprakash Hegde, Karkala MLA, Gopal Bhandari, Karkala block Congress president Sudhakar Kotian, Udupi district Congress vice president Avelin Lewis, Karkala block Congress vice-president Rocky D’Silva, Karkala Youth Congress president Ravishankar Sherigar, district panchayath member Suprith Shetty, taluk panchayath member Xavier D'Mello, Udupi District president backward committee M P Moiddin and all Sthaniya Samiti presidents, members and more that 3,500 party workers were present at the convention.

The unique highlight of the convention was the felicitation of national and internationally-famed local sports and other talents and honouring of senior leaders of the party.
