Mangaluru: Bank of Maharashtra opens new Kulai branch

Mangaluru, Dec 22: Bank of Maharashtra expanded its footprint in Dakshina Kannada district with the inauguration of its new Kulai branch on Monday, December 22. The branch is located on the ground floor of Sri Mookambika Building, Hosabettu.

The branch was formally inaugurated by Dr Y Bharath Shetty, MLA of Mangaluru City North constituency, in the presence of senior bank officials, customers and invited guests.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Bharath Shetty emphasised the importance of customer-friendly banking services. He urged bank staff to treat customers with respect and ensure efficient service delivery, stating that polite behaviour and proper facilities would help build trust and goodwill among customers. He noted that when customers feel welcomed and satisfied, they would be encouraged to deposit and transact with confidence. He congratulated the Bank of Maharashtra team on the opening of the new branch and extended his best wishes for its success.

Speaking on the occasion, Sucheth M D’Souza, zonal manager, Hubballi zone, described the inauguration as a special day, noting that the Kulai branch is among the 95 branches of Bank of Maharashtra in Karnataka. He highlighted the bank’s philosophy of ‘One Bank, One Family’ and reiterated its commitment to supporting local entrepreneurship, small businesses, students, senior citizens and the farming community. He stated that the bank aims to empower local communities by offering inclusive and accessible financial solutions.

Anandharam S M, branch manager, along with other officials, was present during the inauguration ceremony.

The Kulai branch will offer a comprehensive range of banking products and services, including housing, car, gold, MSME and agriculture loans, salary and savings accounts, insurance services, and advanced digital banking facilities such as internet banking, UPI and mobile banking.

The opening of the new branch is expected to enhance banking accessibility and provide improved financial services to residents, professionals, entrepreneurs and businesses in the Kulai and Hosabettu areas.
