San Francisco, Dec 23: Quarterback Brock Purdy put in an impressive performance in the first half as the San Francisco 49ers surged ahead against the Indianapolis Colts, throwing three touchdown passes by midway through the second quarter.
Purdy restored the 49ers’ lead at 21-14 with an 11-yard touchdown pass to tight end George Kittle. Earlier, he connected with Demarcus Robinson on a 22-yard scoring throw and followed it up with a short 2-yard touchdown pass to Christian McCaffrey.

The 49ers quarterback completed 7 of his 9 passes for 89 yards, showcasing efficiency and control in the opening half. San Francisco’s offense capitalised on all three of its possessions, registering touchdown drives of 69, 26 and 69 yards.
The Colts, however, stayed competitive, scoring on both of their offensive possessions. Veteran quarterback Philip Rivers found wide receiver Alec Pierce for a pair of touchdowns on drives covering 72 and 66 yards respectively.
The contest remained high-scoring and evenly poised as both teams displayed strong offensive rhythm early in the game.
