Udaipur, Dec 27: In a shocking incident, a woman manager working with an IT company in Udaipur was allegedly gang-raped by the company’s CEO, a senior woman executive, and the executive’s husband after a birthday party. The crime, which took place inside a car, was captured on the vehicle’s dash camera, police said.
Based on the victim’s statement and medical examination confirming injuries, police have arrested all three accused and launched a detailed investigation.
According to police, the incident occurred on December 26. The victim alleged that after a birthday and New Year celebration hosted by the company, she was taken in a car on the pretext of being dropped home, where she was sexually assaulted by the accused and later abandoned near her residence.
The presence of a dash camera in the car proved crucial, as audio and video recordings linked to the incident were recovered and are now part of the investigation. The victim said she became fully aware of the assault only the next morning after regaining consciousness. She found injury marks on her private parts, while her earrings, socks and undergarments were missing.
In her complaint, the victim stated that a party was organised on December 20 at a hotel in Shobhagpura to celebrate the CEO’s birthday and the upcoming New Year. She reached the hotel around 9 pm, and the party continued till about 1.30 am. The company’s CEO, a senior woman executive and the executive’s husband were present at the event.
As the victim’s health deteriorated and she appeared semi-conscious, some attendees discussed dropping her home. At that point, the woman executive allegedly invited her for an “after party”. Around 1.45 am, the victim was made to sit in a car in which the CEO and the woman executive’s husband were already present.
While on the way, the accused reportedly stopped at a shop to purchase smoking material and forced the victim to smoke, after which she lost consciousness. When she partially regained awareness, she alleged that the CEO was molesting her, following which the CEO and the woman executive’s husband raped her.
The victim said she repeatedly pleaded with them to let her go, but they ignored her requests. Around 5 am, she was dropped near her house, after which the accused fled.
Later, realising that the car had a dash camera installed, the victim checked the footage and found that crucial audio related to the incident had been recorded. Police said the medical examination revealed multiple injury marks on her body, confirming sexual assault.
Police have arrested IT company CEO Jayesh Sisodia, co-accused Gaurav Sirohi and his wife Shilpa. District Superintendent of Police Yogesh Goyal said the investigation is being led by ASP Madhuri Verma.
“The victim’s detailed statement has been recorded and medical reports confirm injuries. Several important pieces of evidence have been secured, and further investigation is underway,” the SP said.
The incident has triggered widespread outrage, with police terming it a serious and heinous crime.
