Bangalore: 'Blue Film House Panel' Views Cell Phone Porn Clips

Bangalore, Feb 22: The Karnataka Legislative Assembly’s in-house panel headed by ruling BJP’s Shreeshailappa Bidarur constituted by Speaker K G Bopaiah to probe into the scandal of three erstwhile ministers watching porn clips on their cell phones inside the House when legislature proceedings were going on watched the ''objectionable” clips on Wednesday.

The house panel, which has been boycotted by the Opposition Congress and JD(S) members demanding disqualification of the trio in addition to dropping them from the D V Sadananda Gowda ministry, examined the replies submitted by the three BJP former ministers along with watching the porn clips.

BJP’s three MLAs, who lost their cabinet ministerial berths after being literally caught red-handed while watching porn clips inside the house on their cell-phone on February 7, are Krishna Palemar, Laxman Savadi and C C Patil.

The house panel, which held its sitting for 30 minutes, did not reach any conclusion and has decided meet again on February 29.

The Speaker, while constituting the house panel, had asked it to submit its report by March 13. He had also served show-cause notices to the three members.

Consequent to the decision of Congress and JD(S) members to keep off from the house panel, it was left only to the ruling BJP members -- Nehru Olekar, B Suresh Gowda and S R Vishwanath – to join Shreeshailappa Bidarur in the deliberations on Wednesday.

The Congress members H C Mahadevappa and Amaregouda Bayyapur Patil and Dinakar Shetty of JD(S) have boycotted the proceedings.

The Congress and JD(S) have taken a stand that there is no need for any probe into the ''misconduct’” of the three as their scandalous act, which is unprecedented in the country’s parliamentary history, as they were caught on camera and the incident had been telecast by television channels.

But Bidarur, who spoke to reporters after the meeting, appealed to Congress and JD(S) members to participate in the committee proceedings and offer their views.

stephen, Mangalore / Dubai watching porn films in assembly is definately not a small issue, but there is nothing that we have to drag that issue for the years together. Apart from this there are many things which our country people has to be worried about. So there is no need to make hue and cry of this issue for the years together.

Neeraj ..Mangalore, it is the responsibilty of the ruling party to convince oppn Party MLAs to be in the panel. However Ruling party members are more in the panel which gives again 'say' in the panel.Let me enlighten you that these kind of House panes are formed to protect the accused rather than investigation .You are failed to give ans or question about SAMPANGI Episode....

Unilateral action of Speaker with regard to formation of House panel just to fool people like you.Quote"if the opposition party good enough then why don't go to inquiry committee"Unquote....ANGAI NODALU KANNADI BEKAA?

Whenever I look at my mobile, my colleagues (non-kannadigas) pull my legs by saying “hey, are you watching porn clips in office, like your ministers does?”. I am sure, many of the kannadigas working outside state or country are experiencing the same…
Thanks “Neeli Krishna” Palemar…..for spreading kannadigas impression (?) all over world.

Immoral but not illegal. This is what the report that is going to say. The MLA who are forced to resign, will get promoted. This is how BJP constituted panels acted in every case. For common people, state BJP is nothing but unruly, criminal and corrupt mob, who hang on with each other, to stay in power. That is not a secret anymore.

As all parties do, this is indeed a "RESCUE' panel. They have a mission.
Outcome will take time, they wait for the people to forget the issue then the result will be published. Result will be....it was unfortunate but not intensional.

ISMAIL K PERINJE, PERINJE-YANBU/KSA: I am not sure you read the complete news before commenting on that news. In many of the comments written by you i think you dont read the complete news. In this news Speaker has appointed 2 Congress and 1 JDS MLA as the member of the inquiery comittee along with 4 BJP members. If the Opposition party is good enough then why dont they go to the inqiery committee? Why the hell they are boycotting the inquiery?

I think by boycotting they can say that the enquiry was done only by BJP and the culprits come out of it easily. Ask them to attend the meeting so that culrits can be inquiered properly and caoorect actioncan be taken against them. If you still say that speaker has not appointed the opposite party MLA's in the enquiry comite then again read the news properly.

It is not justified that Mr. Krishna Palemar is also equally portrayed as one of the "blue boys" or blue uncles etc., I wonder how the media and certain quarter of the public with politically biased mind exploit issue to their liking? None of the TV telecast shows Palemar was involved or watching the subject clips. Let us have patience and wait for the investigation results.
Having said that I am not supporting any act of member of assembly or the ministers for any of their objectionable/uncalled for behavior in the assembly.
