Mangalore: 21-year-old Nursing Student Ends Life

Mangalore, Feb 23: Nisha (21), a native of Moodbidri, who used to study in a city-based nursing college, ended her life on Wednesday February 22 by hanging herself at her home. She used to stay in a rented house at Moorukaveri, Kinnigoly in the taluk.

Nisha’s mother works as nurse in the government hospital. The victim’s younger sister, who studies in an educational institution in Kinnigoli, returned home in the evening. She was concerned, as Nisha did not open the door even after repeated knocking. She then called the neighbours for help to force the door open, and found that Nisha had used the veil of her churidar to hang herself from the fan.

In her complaint filed with Mulky police statio, the girl said that her elder sister had remained home, duly claiming that she was suffering from stomach ache.
