Amaravati, Dec 31: Andhra Pradesh chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday described 2025 as a defining year for the state, saying it laid the groundwork for stability and growth, while announcing that 2026 will be dedicated to accelerating the delivery of governance to every citizen.

Extending New Year greetings through a post on X, Naidu said the past year was not merely a calendar milestone but a crucial phase in Andhra Pradesh’s journey of recovery and renewal. He noted that the government succeeded in stabilising welfare schemes, ensuring benefits reached the poorest sections, and rebuilding investor confidence despite multiple challenges.

“Even amid difficulties, we achieved double-digit growth. We safeguarded the sanctity of religious institutions, enhanced pilgrimage facilities, attracted landmark investments such as Google, and laid the foundation for emerging sectors like quantum technology,” the chief minister said. He also highlighted effective disaster management during Cyclone Montha, with timely relief and rehabilitation measures.

Naidu credited the state’s progress to the combined efforts of government employees and the trust and cooperation of the people. “Every achievement reflects teamwork and public faith. Our commitment to Andhra Pradesh’s progress will continue with greater determination,” he added.

Deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan echoed the sentiment, calling the revival of Andhra Pradesh a shared aspiration that depends heavily on the dedication of the bureaucracy. Reflecting on 2025 and looking ahead to 2026, he thanked officers and employees for their selfless service and announced that the coming year would focus on the “speed of delivering governance” to build a healthy, prosperous, and happy Swarna Andhra.

In a special message to civil servants, Pawan Kalyan acknowledged the sacrifices of IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS and other officers who serve the state away from their home regions. “Policies may be framed by elected representatives, but it is your integrity and efficiency on the ground that determine whether governance truly transforms lives,” he said.

Calling for renewed energy and compassion in administration, the deputy chief minister urged officials to work with greater speed and sensitivity in 2026. “The dream of a resurgent Andhra Pradesh rests significantly on your shoulders. Together, let us move toward a Viksit Andhra Pradesh that contributes strongly to a Viksit Bharat,” he said, while wishing the people a happy and prosperous New Year.
