Ajman/Fujairah, Jan 1: Thumbay Healthcare marked the beginning of the New Year on a joyful note with the birth of two healthy newborns at its hospitals in Ajman and Fujairah, bringing cheer to families from different nationalities.
At Thumbay University Hospital, Ajman, a baby girl was born at 2.41 am to 36-year-old Nigerian national Kafayat Uyomide. The newborn, weighing 3.27 kg, is the first child of the couple. Overwhelmed with happiness, the new mother expressed her joy, saying, “I’m very happy, I cannot explain, my first baby.” Both mother and child are reported to be in good health and are under close postnatal care.


Meanwhile, at Thumbay Hospital, Fujairah, the New Year ushered in a special moment as a baby boy was born exactly at midnight on January 1, 2026. The child, born to an Indian family, has been recorded as “Baby of Aswathy Krishnan” and weighed 4.26 kg at birth.
The delivery was conducted via Lower Segment Cesarean Section (LSCS). Doctors confirmed that both mother and baby are stable and receiving comprehensive neonatal and postnatal care.
