Moodbidri, Jan 1: A 13-year-old boy was killed after being hit by a car near Maroor Hosangadi on Wednesday afternoon. The incident occurred due to the driver’s negligence, police said.
The deceased has been identified as Zahir (13), son of Nazir of Hosangadi. Zahir was a Class 7 student at a local school.
According to the police, the boy was walking along the roadside with his mother to a nearby shop when a car coming from the opposite direction knocked him down.
A case has been registered at the Moodbidri police station.
