Udupi: Car loses control while reversing, crashes into bike, auto and shop; two injured

Udupi, Jan 2: A car that suddenly moved backward while being taken in reverse lost control and rammed into a two-wheeler and an auto-rickshaw before crashing into a shop near the Irody Building, close to Jamia Masjid in Udupi.

The incident occurred when a car parked at the Irody Building was being reversed. Due to the driver losing control, the car moved backward at high speed towards Parivar Sweets shop. In the process, it hit a bike and an auto-rickshaw that were proceeding from City Centre Road towards Sanskrit College.

As a result of the collision, the bike rider and the auto driver sustained injuries. The car then went on to hit vehicles parked along the roadside and finally rammed into a chips shop.

The frightening sequence of the accident has been captured on a CCTV camera installed in the area.
