Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore (RD)

Mangalore, Feb 23: Akhila Bharata Billawara Union, formerly known as Billawara Union, Kudroli, in a media release clarified that the annual meeting that was convened by them at Narayan Guru College auditorium on Tuesday February 21 concluded successfully despite media reports that the meeting was cancelled due to chaos.

Akhila Bharatha Billawara Union president Naveenchandra D Suvarna stated that a few mischief mongers within the Billawa community created chaos for political gain, but normalcy was soon restored by the intervention of veterans of the community.

Suvarna also stated that it is not right to say that those who offer lifetime puja at Sri Gokarnanatheshwar Temple, Kudroli, become legitimate members of the Akhila Bharata Billawara Union, because devotees of different castes offer puja at the temple. He added that the Union has its own rules and regulations for individuals to become members.

"Akhila Bharata Billawara Union strives for the integral development of the community. It expects all brethren of the Billawa community to unite in the service of the temple disregarding political differences. The Union will continue the good works in the future," added Suvarna in the media release.
