Kuwait, Jan 6: The 14th Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) of Billava Sangha Kuwait was held on December 26th at the Indian School of Excellence, Salmiya, Kuwait. The event was marked by unity, celebration and new beginnings as Suresh Kunder was unanimously selected as the 7th president of Billava Sangha Kuwait.
The event commenced with a heartfelt prayer by Ishanvi Kiran Raj. The hosts for the evening, Navya Sudhir Suvarna and Sanskrithi Surendra Poojary, welcomed the president and all BSK members with confidence and enthusiasm. The traditional lighting of the lamp was performed by the outgoing president, Amarnath Suvarna, along with members of the committee, symbolizing the dawn of a prosperous year ahead.









































































































In his opening address, Amarnath Suvarna expressed gratitude to all committee members for their unity and dedication towards the community's upliftment. General secretary, Prashanth Poojary presented the annual report, summarizing the organization's activities for the year 2025. Treasurer, Venu Gopal detailed the financial report for 2025, which was approved by the members. Joint welfare officer, Dayanand Amin, elaborated on the scholarship programme and other welfare activities conducted during 2025, highlighting the association’s commitment to community development.
Certificates were awarded to the lifetime members of the association. A talent show was held showcasing the skills of children. Prizes were distributed to all the participants. For the first time BSK showcased a vibrant couple fashion show, where all couples participated with grace and liveliness.

Advisory Committee members for 2026 included Raghu C Poojary, Krishna S Poojary, and Sushma Manoj. Chitrek Bangera will serve as the honorary advisor.
The newly elected president Suresh Kunder explained about the scholarship, thanked all members for supporting, and requested everyone to support in future. He also requested collective efforts from all committee members in fulfilling their responsibilities.
Billava Sangha Kuwait proudly honored its esteemed outgoing president, Amarnath Suvarna, the founding member of BSK and holder of Membership No 1. Over the years, he has served in various capacities, including joint secretary, media secretary, sports secretary, cultural secretary, and vice president.
As he now concludes his remarkable journey in Kuwait and prepares to return to his homeland after twenty years, BSK expressed its gratitude with a special ceremony. A heartfelt video dedicated to him was showcased, highlighting his contributions and dedication. He was presented with a shawl, bouquet of flowers, basket of fruits and a portrait of Guru Vani as a token of appreciation. In his farewell speech, Amarnath Suvarna gave some insights into the inception of the association an extended heartfelt thanks to all members for their support and cooperation over the years.
Additionally, BSK also honored Sudesh Poojary, a former committee member as he concludes his remarkable chapter in Kuwait and begins a new journey elsewhere. BSK extends its warmest wishes to both of them for their future endeavors.
The technical arrangements for the event was skillfully managed by Raghav Poojary. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by the general secretary, Charan Raj Suvarna, followed by a delicious dinner provided by 'Mughal Tandoori', Abbasiya. The musical ambiance was enhanced by Waves Events and Rentals, while the photography was ably clicked by Wilson.
The BSK management committee sincerely thanked all sponsors and members for their invaluable contributions to a successful 2025 and is looking ahead to a prosperous 2026.
