Mangaluru, Jan 6: In association with Daijiworld Media Pvt Ltd, the SVP Bondel Unit has announced ‘Kala Sangam – 2026’, a classic Konkani cultural evening, to be held on April 12 at 6 pm at the Bondel St Lawrence Church premises. The event is being organised in aid of building homes for the needy, an initiative undertaken by the SVP Bondel Unit.
Kala Sangam – 2026 promises to be a grand cultural extravaganza, featuring a musical concert by legendary singers and composers along with the current generation of singing sensations. Renowned music director Sanjay Rodrigues will helm the musical direction for the evening. Adding to the entertainment, popular coastal comedians MEMORY will present their latest skits, while the dynamic dance group Urban Groove will set the stage ablaze with their energetic performances, moves, and stunts.
The event has been curated by Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza, parish priest of St Lawrence Shrine, Bondel, with a vision of bringing legendary artistes onto a single stage along with emerging talents. The unique concept has been designed by well-known show director Stany Bela and his experienced team.
Speaking about the initiative, Fr Andrew said, “Kala Sangam – 2026 has been thoughtfully designed to bring legendary artistes together on one stage and offer the audience an opportunity to witness their live performances. The show also reflects our respect for these legends, while simultaneously providing a platform for the current generation and local talents, encouraging and nurturing them. Daijiworld media has a proven track record in organising and designing large-scale events, and their association will certainly elevate the experience. This will be a ticketed show, and the entire proceeds from ticket sales will be dedicated to the SVP Bondel unit’s housing project for the needy.”
