Kasargod, Feb 24: The policemen of Bekal station in the district have received a complaint of sexual harassment on behalf of a minor girl. The girl has accused the son of her mother’s elder sister of sexual advances and harassment.
The girl in question resides at Bekal Mouvval, and studies in third standard. On the basis of her complaint, Sadiq (20), son of Mohammed Shaffi from Mouvval, has been booked for the offence. The aggrieved girl said the accused began pestering here several months ago.
The girl, who suffered at the hands of the above boy frequently, appeared to be weary and frustrated. The teachers of the school had questioned her about the reasons for her condition, and had later called Childline. The Childline officials met the girl and questioned her. Thereupon, a police complaint was filed.
