Bantwal: Couple, 9-year-old son reported missing; case filed

Bantwal, Jan 9: A couple from Navoor village has gone missing along with their 9-year-old son after leaving a relative’s house at Shantiguri in Moodanadugodu village. The incident occurred on December 17, and as they have not returned so far, a case has now been registered at the Bantwal Rural police station.

The missing persons have been identified as Sadashiva (45), his wife Pratibha (39), and their son Ritvik (9), residents of Navoor village.

According to the complaint, the couple had locked their house and, along with their two children—a daughter and a son—went on December 16 to the house of their relative Dharnappa Poojary at Shantiguri in Moodanadugodu village. On the morning of December 17, it was noticed that the couple had gone missing along with their son, leaving their daughter behind at the relative’s house. The reason for their disappearance is not yet known.

Based on a complaint lodged by Dharnappa’s son Pramod, the Bantwal Rural police have registered a case and launched a search. The police have appealed to the public to share any information regarding the missing persons by contacting the Bantwal Rural police station at 08255-235000 or the District Control Room at 0824-2220500.
