Bangalore: DVS Doing Excellent Job, No Change in Leadership - Nitin Gadkari

Daijiworld Media Network - Bangalore

Bangalore, Feb 24: Addressing a press conference on Friday February 24 at the resort where the BJP brainstorming session is on, national president of BJP Nitin Gadkari insisted that the party is not thinking of changing the chief minister of Karnataka at this juncture at any cost.

He also denied any rift in the party and said that all leaders are united and committed to working towards progress.

"There is no political crisis. The party is united and committed towards progress. The government is working excellently with Sadananda Gowda as chief minister and there will be no change."

He further added, "The UP election is important for BJP now, after that is the Udupi-Chikmagalur bypoll. I request all party leaders to unite and concentrate on the elections."

He did admit that there were some problems in the party, but assured that they would be solved soon.

"There are small problems, but we will solve them," he said.

He said that the party functionaries at all level are working as a united force, and that the state government has been giving good governance.

“We are taking advice from Yeddyurappa in the administration. An important meeting is being held on March 3 at New Delhi to take some important decisions. Yeddyurappa is being invited this week to come to New Delhi to sort out some issues in the presence of national leaders,” he said. He also requested Yeddyurappa with folded hands to cooperate with the government.

BJP state president, K S Eshwarappa, said that the first and foremost task in front of the government now is to face the coming bypoll. He expressed the hope that Yeddyurappa will heed to Gadkari’s advice. “Yeddyurappa remains a leader of the masses. He is sure to get a post of responsibility he richly deserves. We acknowledge that he has very rich experience and he had sacrificed a lot for the party and the state. However, at present, there will not be a change in the state Chief Minister,” he clarified again.

Gadkari reportedly told Yeddyurappa that he has to wait for reinstatement till he is cleared of corruption charges. However, Yeddyurappa's demand for a suitable position in the state unit may be considered.

Yeddyurappa camp, which had hoped to get something positive at the meeting, did not seem to be happy at the outcome. The former CM has reportedly left the brainstorming session and returned to his Race Course residence.

It is rumoured that Yeddyurappa's camp comprising his staunch followers may shift their base to Goa for further action and another round of 'resort politics'. The camp may also boycott the remaining session, which has been pruned into a one-day affair now, instead of two days as planned earlier.

The last snap gives clear indication of Yeddi's sideline which may have repercussions in the near future and perhaps Gadkeri,Ishwarappa,DVS and Ananth Kumar might not thought of!Next general Assembly election would be four way contest which will make difficult to form Govt by any block.

shahnawaz kukkikatte, dubai/udupi your political knowledge is very poor and Mr Dinesh Poojary is 100% correct. In Kargil War it was Mr AB Vajpayee who took wise decision on each and every matter, but the people like you cannot digest the good works done by the BJP people. So you are giving the credit to third unknown people like Musharaff and bill clinton for kargil war.

1974 nuclear blast was minor one. That too it happened because of non-congress PM Morarji Desai.

In 1999 nuclear test was done with modern atomic weapons which only few countries had in possession.

Do you know why Bill Clinton intervened and asked Musharraf to pull out the armies? Because Pakistanis unnecessarily infiltrated into Indian soil and claimed Kashmir. By then the whole world came to know whose fault it was! If US asked Pakistanis to pull out, it was a support for justice..

Gadkari saved DVS from Yeddy Yamadootha. When we made 1 nuclear test, Pakistan blasted 6 and this Vajpayee put us in shame. In Kargil war Bofors guns saved us. So many of brave soldiers lost life because of wrong policy of NDA govt. Even NDA made money on soldiers coffins. Most weak n spiness PM was Vajpayee in the history of our country. When he was shaking hands with Nawaj Sharif in Karachi, Pakistani soldiers slipped into Kargil n shooting our soldiers from top.

Total failure of Inteligence. The curse of wives n children's of our brave soldiers has effected BJP they will never come back to power any more. If Bill Clinton had not warned Nawaj Sheriff, they would even used Nuclear weapon. Kudos to Mrs. Indira Gandhi Twice our military made way into Pakistan capital. Last 60 yrs are golden years of Indian History. This Vajpayee was sleeping when terrorist entered Parliament premises. This Vajpayee left dreaded terrorist into Pakistan in exchange when Air India was hijacked. Go back to school n read history my dear Dinesh Poojary. U will have sound sleep today.

People of Karnataka have no development but a drama company called BJP.We have to watch the sick news everyday about what happens to various jokers in the ruling party. The looted money comes handy in organising party and stay at lavish hotels and resorts for these jokers. But we have die hard supporters of these jokers who will elect them again should there be elections. Those who die in Karnataka need not worry about whether they will go to hell because they have already lived in hell.

You are still living in shadow and well and you dont know the reality.. not Vajpayees achievement and in kargil war we would have lost to Pakistan had not been Bill Cliton intervened and asked Musharaf to retreat. Only BJP rule can put in India on top. Congress could not do this in last 60 years.

All countries of the world raised their eyebrows when Vajapayee did nuclear test in Pokran. Many countries came to know the strength of India only then.

Vajapayee showed India too can battle with any country by conquering Pakistan in kargil war. Otherwise we would have lost Jammu and Kashmir to Pakistan by now.

China is occupying Arunachala Pradesh. The UPA govt is helplessly watching. If they are true Indians and have nerves, they should send Chinese army back home from Indian soil..

I do not know in whose eyes is Mr. Gadkari trying to throw mud by saying there are absalutely no problems in the BJP. Day in day out Yeddi is trying his level best by arraning luncha parties to cut down DVS by size. In an earlier news editorial in Daiji it says he emotionally cried with tears in eyes, folded hands said DVS has broken his promise, Gadkari had promised him etc etc. Yeddi wings should be cipped right now. The damage would be more if Yeddi remains in the party than if the high command throws him out. It is very clear that Yeddi is probably the greediest person and simply does not want any of his collegues to hold CM's post.

A serious stalemate which may bring virtually a split in the party and thereby coming an end to BJP regime in Karnataka. If Jayalalitha continues to be CM of TN in spite of serious case against her going on in the court why not Yeddy CM? a question always hounds Yeddy and political pundits.

Here one important factor is Yeddy is fighter, mass leader and leader of Lingayath Community which has considerable chunk of Vote Bank to BJP.

Now, the incident of mistrust and misunderstanding between DVS and Yeddy may take new twist by polarizing Okkaliga-Lingayath infighting which may bring down BJP Govt very soon. The role of HD Devegowda in DVS's affairs of ruling of Karnataka(as accused by Yeddy) shows a division and war of words between Okkaliga and Ligayath community.Another one week will be crucial for BJP party and mean time poor public Karnataka paying heavily for electing BJP in Karnataka.
