Mangaluru: St Aloysius University to host Hackathon, Esports & Food Fest from Jan 30

Mangaluru, Jan 13: St Aloysius Deemed to be University has announced a series of major events aimed at students, gamers and the general public, featuring a national-level hackathon, a food festival and an esports tournament.

The university will host CodeSprint 2k26, a 32-hour national hackathon, on January 30 and 31. The event is open to teams of two to four students from the same college and will run from 9 am to 5 pm. The hackathon carries a cash prize of Rs 1,00,000. The registration fee is Rs 500 per member, with the last date to register being January 20. As part of the celebrations, Food Street 2k26, a food festival featuring multi-cuisine stalls, music and entertainment, will be held from January 30 to February 1, starting at 2 pm each day. The event will be open to the general public.

The university will also organise Rampage 2k26, a BGMI esports tournament, with online qualifiers followed by offline finals. The finals will take place on February 1 from 9 am to 8 pm at the Maffei Block. Teams will consist of four players, with a registration fee of Rs 600 per team.
