Udupi, Jan 15: The annual convocation ceremony of Netra Jyothi College, Udupi, was held on January 15 at the Netra Jyothi College campus, Udupi.
The program was symbolically inaugurated by the dignitaries through a traditional lamp lighting ceremony.
Shripad Naik, union minister of State for Power and New & Renewable Energy, Government of India and Member of Parliament, North Goa, beginning his address with the saying “Education is the ornament of humility,” said that paramedical staff play a crucial role in assisting doctors in the medical field. As the number of students in medical and allied health fields increases, the strength of the medical workforce also grows, which in turn helps reduce the number of people suffering from illness in the country.





















Dr U T Ifthikar Ali, chairperson of the Karnataka State Allied and Healthcare Council and Syndicate Member of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), attended as a special guest of honour.
During the convocation, degrees were awarded to meritorious graduates by MP Shripad Naik, union minister of State and MP from North Goa, along with Raghuram Rao, trustee Netra Jyothi Charitable Trust and other dignitaries. On this occasion, endowment awards were presented to the best students, and degree certificates were distributed to all graduating students. The achievements of the college were also highlighted.
On the occasion Dr U T Ifthikar Ali was felicitated in recognition of his contributions. Dr Gauri Prabhu, chief operating officer Netra Jyothi College Udupi, administered the oath to the students for their future professional journey.
Nadoja Dr Krishna Prasad Kudlu, founder chairman Netra Jyothi College Udupi and trustee Netra Jyothi Charitable Trust delivered the welcome address, and the program was compered by Shrinidhi and Alisha. The program concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
The event was attended Udupi–Chikkamagaluru MP Kota Srinivasa Poojary, MLA Yashpal Suvarna, chairman Netra Jyothi College and managing trustee Netra Jyothi Charitable Trust Rashmi Krishna Prasad, and chief operating officer Dr Gauri Prabhu.
