Sullia: Scooty rider killed in collision with tanker at Koynadu

Sullia, Jan 16: A scooty rider lost his life in a road accident involving a tanker near the Ganapati temple at Koynadu under the Aranthodu limits on January 13.

The deceased has been identified as Nishanth (30), son of late Devaraja, a resident of Perangodi, Koynadu.

According to sources, the accident occurred when the scooty Nishanth was riding allegedly rammed into the rear of a tanker that was proceeding from Sullia towards Madikeri. The impact of the collision left the scooty rider seriously injured.

He was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Sullia for treatment. However, he succumbed to his injuries despite medical efforts.

It is learnt that Nishanth is survived by his mother. A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
