Udupi: Sri Vedavardhana Theertha Swamiji performs groundbreaking for Parashurama Dwara at Ambagil

Udupi, Jan 16: The future Paryaya Peetadhipathi of Shirur Math, Sri Vedavardhana Theertha Swamiji, performed the groundbreaking (Bhoomi Pooja) ceremony for the proposed Parashurama Dwara to be constructed near Ambagil Junction on January 16.

During his first Paryaya term, Sri Vedavardhana Theertha Swamiji has resolved to construct the Parashurama Dwara, and as part of this resolve, the groundbreaking ceremony was held in the presence of several dignitaries and devotees.

Speaking to the media, Sri Vedavardhana Theertha Swamiji said, “During Shiroor Paryaya, we are only performing the poojas, but the Paryaya itself is carried forward by the devotees of Lord Sri Krishna. Therefore, Shiroor Paryaya truly belongs to the devotees. We are planning to conduct recitation of all four Vedas from morning till evening. For this, 20 Veda Pandits are required each day, with five Pandits reciting one Veda. We are also focusing on improving Annadana and providing more opportunities for devotees to serve Lord Krishna.”

On this occasion, Paryaya Welcome committee president and MLA Yashpal Suvarna, general secretary Mattar Rathnakar Hegde, Math Diwan Dr Udaya Kumar Saralattaya, coordinator Baikadi Suprasad Shetty, treasurer Jayaprakash Kedlaya, Srisha Kadekar, Balaji Raghavendra Acharya, Vishnumurthy Padigar, Balakrishna Shetty Nittur, publicity committee coordinator Nandan Jain, Madhukar Mudradi, and others were present.
