Udupi, Jan 18: Fernandes Groups is set to host the 289th Wilfy Nite as part of the annual feast celebrations of Milagres Cathedral, Kallianpur, under the banner of ‘Milagres Utsav’. The cultural programme will be held on Wednesday, January 21, at the Milagres Cathedral grounds, beginning at 6 pm.

Wilfy Nite, known for its musical legacy and lively entertainment, is expected to offer an evening of quality music and celebration. The programme will feature advanced sound arrangements and performances by well-known singers from the region, drawing parishioners and music lovers alike.

 

Fernandes Groups, known for its business initiatives and social commitment, is headed by Wilson Fernandes and Leena Fernandes. A native of Kallianpur parish, Wilson Fernandes, along with his family, has taken up the responsibility of being the phirjenth (main sponsor) of this year’s annual feast of Milagres Cathedral. As part of the celebrations, several sports, social and cultural programmes have been organised under Milagres Utsav.

The 289th Wilfy Nite will feature singers Veena Rebimbus Pais, Vishwas Rebimbus, Arvin Pais, Ivan Sequeira, Babita D'Sa, Dolla, Munita Veigas Rao, Ashwin D'Costa, Velita Lobo, Gavin Menezes, Jaison Lobo and Bindu Cutinha. Music will be directed by Papan Joswin, while the programme will be compered by Dony Correa. Fr Denis D'Sa, PRO of the diocese of Udupi, will be the special guest.

Technical support for the event is being provided by Christopher Mascarenhas, Charleen Rebimbus, Nevis D'Souza and Davin D'Souza. A special dance performance by Urban Groove will also be part of the evening.

With music, performances and strong community participation, the 289th Wilfy Nite is expected to be one of the highlights of this year’s Milagres Utsav in Kallianpur.
