Abu Dhabi, Jan 19: The pre-registered Karnataka Cultural Foundation (KCF) Abu Dhabi Zone successfully organised the Mahabba Trophy Community Cricket Tournament for the Karnataka community as part of its Fitness Challenge Programme and in preparation for the upcoming Mahabba Family Fest.
The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from seven teams representing different areas — Al Wahda, Muroor, Khalidiya, Madeena Zayed, Markaziya, MBZ and Sanaya. Matches were held at the Zayed Cricket Stadium (astro turf ground) and were marked by a high sporting spirit and strong community bonding.












After a competitive series of matches, Team Madeena Zayed emerged champions, while Team Muroor secured the runner-up position.
The champions’ trophy was formally presented during the award ceremony by Kedumbady Ibrahim Saqafi, UAE KCF national committee member, along with Ibrahim of Bright Marble, general secretary. The tournament was efficiently managed by the organising panel led by Latheef KH, Eng Mansoor and Kabeer Bayambady, president of KCF Abu Dhabi, with strong support from sub-committee members Haris Sadi, Farook Saqafi and Mukshith Zuhri.
Individual performances were also recognised:
Man of the series and best bowler: Sinan KH
Best batsman: Rasheed National
Man of the match: Sawad Delambady
The event was graced by several prominent personalities from the Karnataka community, including Nooruddeen Engineer (Chikmagalur), entrepreneur Ansar Bellare, Majeed Bilal, Razak Haji Jelly and KCF International Council president Abdul Hameed Sadi (Ishwaramangila). Well-wishers Riyaz Khan Mayas (Puttur), Neerkaje Haneef and Sameer (F20) were also present.
The award ceremony commenced with a welcome address by Ummer Ishwaramangila and concluded with a vote of thanks by Eng Arshad, who appreciated the efforts of the organisers, players, sponsors and supporters.
The Mahabba Trophy tournament concluded on a high note, strengthening unity, promoting fitness and reinforcing KCF Abu Dhabi’s commitment to community development and social engagement.
