Udupi, Jan 19: As part of the grand Shiroor Paryaya 2026 celebrations, the Coastal Star Music Club, Udupi, organized a mega musical programme titled ‘Sangeetha Vaibhava’ on January 17, which concluded in the early hours of January 18. The eight-hour non-stop musical extravaganza was held opposite Kalpana Theatre, Udupi, and witnessed a large gathering of music lovers.
The programme was inaugurated with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by renowned music director V Manohar, along with other dignitaries.



























V Manohar, renowned music director, said, “Venkatesh Kamath has been organizing this music programme for the past three years, and holding it during the Paryaya celebrations is a moment of great pride, as today is a historic day. The Coastal Star ‘Sangeetha Vaibhava’ being held on such an occasion will remain a cherished memory. May the blessings of Udupi Sri Krishna be upon all the singers, musicians and everyone associated with this programme.”
Ramesh Vaidya, Regional Head Karnataka Bank, said, “It is a moment of happiness to see the Coastal Star Club organize such a grand orchestra here. What began as a small initiative just two years ago has now grown to great heights. The club has provided a valuable platform for many local talents. May Coastal Star continue to shine brightly, and Karnataka Bank will always extend its support to the Coastal Star Club.”
Tallur Shivaram Shetty, proprietor of Thamboolam Family Restaurant, Udupi, said, “The programme has been organized on the auspicious occasion of Shiroor Paryaya, and I hope it continues in the years to come. With the blessings of the audience and the support of donors, such initiatives will continue to grow and flourish.”
The musical night, presented under the leadership of V Manohar, featured a rich blend of Indian film music and light music in Tulu, Kannada, Tamil and Hindi, keeping the audience enthralled throughout the night.
The programme featured popular and talented singers including Ramesh Chandra, Malini Keshav Prabhu, Gaurav Kamath, Ramya Sudheendra, Shruthi Vaidhya, Swathi Bhat, Reshma Manjunath, Rishika Mudlukatte, Sudesh Prabhu, Adithya and Sathish. They were ably accompanied by musicians Rajesh Bhagawath on tabla and percussion, Bhaskar Basrur and Ashok Samath on keyboards, Vincent Rodrigues Mangaluru on lead guitar and Jeevan Roshan Fernandes Mangaluru on rhythm pad.
The programme also included dance performances. The special attraction of the event was Junior Gurukiran and Junior Vishnuvardhan performance.
The program was sponsored by Karnataka Bank, Thaamboolam and Kalyan Jewellers, while Stayinn Venkys and Seabird Resort extended their support. The event was compered by Vijetha Shetty.
