Media Release

Mangaluru, Jan 20: Vertex Managed Workspace, Karnataka’s largest managed workspace and enterprise IT infrastructure platform outside Bengaluru, has received a Rs 1.93 crore grant under the Government of Karnataka’s IT policy as part of the "Beyond Bengaluru" mission.

The grant, released by the Department of Electronics, IT & BT and facilitated by the Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM), recognises Vertex’s sustained role in enabling enterprise-grade IT infrastructure, job creation, and technology ecosystem development in Mangaluru.

Over the past few years, Vertex has emerged as a key anchor for Mangaluru’s IT and Global Capability Centre (GCC) ecosystem, currently supporting over 2,250 professionals across six managed workspace locations and hosting more than 40 companies, including global enterprises and GCCs. Its scale and long-term presence have helped position Mangaluru as one of Karnataka’s leading technology clusters outside the capital.

The "Beyond Bengaluru" grant reflects state-level recognition of platforms that have demonstrated execution on the ground—translating policy intent into measurable economic impact. Vertex’s role as a large-scale IT infrastructure provider has been instrumental in supporting enterprise confidence, talent retention, and distributed growth beyond Bengaluru.

Speaking on the development, Gurudatta Shenoy, managing partner, Vertex Managed Workspace, said: “We are grateful to the Government of Karnataka and KDEM for their continued trust. This support acknowledges the work being done to strengthen IT infrastructure, enable enterprise expansion, and create quality jobs outside Bengaluru. Vertex remains committed to building sustainable technology ecosystems across Karnataka’s emerging cities.”

Vertex is currently expanding its Mangaluru operations, with plans to scale up to 6,000 workstations, further reinforcing the city’s position as a strategic technology and GCC destination under Karnataka’s Beyond Bengaluru framework.
