Mangaluru, Jan 21: A pharma rally was held on January 21 as a part of Pharmacy Week 2025-26 organised by Indian Pharmaceutical Association, DK district local branch, Mangaluru in association with NSS unit of Srinivas College of Pharmacy Mangaluru with theme 'Drug Abuse Awareness'. Rally was flagged off by Arun Kumar Shetty president, SKDCDA, Mangalore and called the students to spread awareness among the public about drug abuse and its consequences.
Rajendra Jain, pharmacist, Jain Medico Groups, B C Road; Jagadish, assistant sub inspector of police, Kankanady police station, head constables Harinakshi and Kallappa witnessed the rally.

Dr A R Shabaraya, programme convener of Pharmacy Week 2025-26, principal & director, Srinivas College of Pharmacy, Valachil, Mangaluru presided over the programme, Dr Shripathy D, NSS officer introduced the guests and highlighted the importance of rally. Dr Kumara Prasad SA, professor, Srinivas College of Pharmacy & vice president, Indian Pharmaceutical Association, Dakshina Kannada district local branch, Mangaluru and faculty members were present during the rally.
More than 600 students participated in the Rally by holding placards with slogans against drug abuse and distributed leaflets to the public to bring awareness.
