UAE: Devadiga Sangha Dubai Announces 20th Anniversary

Dubai, Feb 26: Devadiga Sangha Dubai, UAE will be hosting its 20th anniversary celebrations on Friday May 11 this year at Deira Sheraton, Dubai. The announcement was made by Harish Sherigar, the president of the Sangha during a meeting.
The event will start at10 am. A day full of activities and surprise entertainments has been planned by the rich talent brigade, along with attractive prizes and raffle draws.

Prominent educationalist, Dr Devaraj K, director of SDM College of Business Management, Mangalore, and Dinesh Devadiga, president of Devadiga Sangha, Mangalore have been invited as the chief guests from back home. They will be honoured during the event. Dr K V Devadiga, eminent neurosurgeon and Rajyotsava awardee, has also been invited as the chief guest.
Harischandra Devadiga, advisor, is the community veteran from Dubai who has been chosen to be honoured on this great occasion. Right from the day of its induction in 1992, he has been generously contributing to the cause. His contribution to the Sanghas back home is also noteworthy and appreciated.
As in the past, with the help and support of sponsors, well-wishers and members, the fund generated will be given for scholarship activities back home and also used for the benefit of community members here in case of emergencies.
On the eve of the celebrations, to keep up the tempo of festivities, a picnic gathering and cricket for the energetic youngsters have been lined up. Also, a day-long activity for children which includes fancy dress and painting competitions has been planned during early May.
