Dear DC - Udupi, I would like to bring to your kind attention the increasing instances of reckless driving by truck and bus drivers on the highway, particularly on the stretch between Kundapura and Mangalore. I travel frequently on this route and have personally witnessed dangerous driving behaviors such as overspeeding, rash overtaking, and complete disregard for traffic rules. These actions pose a serious threat to the safety of commuters and pedestrians alike. If strict measures are not taken immediately, there is a high risk of severe accidents leading to loss of innocent lives. I sincerely request the concerned authorities to conduct regular checks, enforce speed limits, and take strict action against drivers who violate traffic rules on this stretch. I hope this matter will be given urgent attention in the interest of public safety.
