Udupi, Feb 27: "The BJP has been giving good administration to the people. The Congress which is opposing us in everything should first put its own house in order," said chief minister D V Sadananda Gowda.
He was speaking after inaugurating BJP party workers' convention and meet on upcoming Udupi-Chikmagalur bypoll at Kaup here on Sunday February 26.
He said that Congress itself is immersed in a number of problems. "Congress need not give advice to us when their own people are in trouble," he said.
"The BJP today is giving top-class administration to the people of this state. Yes, there are small problems and conflicts, but they are only natural. It would be better if Congress and JD(S), instead of raking up new issues everyday, assist the government in its developing the state," he said.
"I became the chief minister thanks to blessings of the leaders in my party, the party workers and the people. I will continue to serve as chief minister for the full term and endeavour to provide people-friendly administration," DVS added.
Kaup MLA Lalaji R Mendon presided over the programme.
Among those present were MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik, MLC Kota Srinivas Poojary, ZP president Katpadi Shankar Poojary, BJP district president Uday Kumar Shetty, BJP district unit general secretary Tingale Vikramarjuna Hegde, and other BJP leaders like Devadas Hebbar, BJP Kaup block president Naveen Shetty Kutyar, Jagadish Acharya, Jitendra Shetty, Ravindra Shetty and Ratnakar Hegde.

On the occasion, the CM said that in today's world there is a lot of misunderstanding and there is no mutual trust among people. To get rid of such things and promote peace and harmony, one must seek the path of God. Every person needs the blessing of God to be a good human being and be successful in life, he said.
