Bengaluru: St Patrick Church hosts faith meet on Fr Alfred Roche’s beatification cause

Bengaluru, Jan 26: The Catholic Club at St Patrick Church organized a faith initiative to begin the New Year and to introduce the cause of the beatification of the Servant of God Fr Alfred Roche.

The evening was attended by Catholic Club members and other like-minded individuals eager to learn more about Fr Alfred Roche. The theme of the event was: “Everything that’s new… God leads the way.”

On this occasion, Fr Santa Lopes spoke on the theme, highlighting the message of Pope Leo at the beginning of 2026, emphasizing peace. He reminded the gathering that the world today needs peace, not arms.

Following this, Fr Alwyn Dias spoke about the life of the Servant of God Fr Alfred Roche, the inception of his cause, the process and modalities currently in practice, and how Fr Alfred Roche exemplifies a path of holiness as a potential new saint. The session was followed by the release and distribution of the new 2026 calendars to all attendees.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks and a blessing. All members present were deeply moved by the insightful sessions and expressed their gratitude to the Capuchin Fathers for initiating the cause of Fr. Alfred Roche. They assured their full support for this noble cause.
