Mangaluru, Jan 26: Expert Pre-University College, Valachil, celebrated the 77th Republic Day with great enthusiasm. The ceremony began with unfurling of the national flag by Dr N K Vijayan Karippal, principal of the college.
In his address, Dr Karippal emphasised the significance of the Indian Constitution's core ideology and stressed that every citizen should safeguard the country's sovereignty and integrity.
The event was attended by Subramanya Udupa, vice principal (Academics); Dhruthi V Hegde, vice principal (Admin); Gurudath N, coaching head; Anitha P Shetty, chief resident mentor; and Srinivasa K, programme director.
Student Pavani Shridhar welcomed the gathering and proposed the vote of thanks. The event featured a thought-provoking drama on drug awareness presented by the students.
