Journalist Ashok Kalladka selected for Karunadu Sadhaka Shreshta Ratna state award

Bengaluru, Jan 27: Journalist and Reporter Karnataka editor-in-chief Ashok Kalladka has been selected for the prestigious Karunadu Sadhaka Shreshta Ratna state award, instituted by the Karnataka Working Journalists Voice organisation.

The award will be presented during the organisation’s state-level conference to be held at Bhatkal in Uttara Kannada district on January 28. Retired Supreme Court judge and former lokayukta Justice Santosh Hegde will confer the award. Karnataka Working Journalists Voice state president Bangle Mallikarjuna and others will be present.

Ashok Kalladka has previously worked as a sub-editor and reporter with newspapers including Vijay Karnataka, Janavahini and Canara Times. Four years ago, he founded the Reporter Karnataka Media Network and is currently serving as editor-in-chief of the digital news portal ReporterKarnataka.com.

Reporter Karnataka, which has a state-level news network, has gained wide popularity across Karnataka for its content. Ashok Kalladka has been selected for the Karunadu Sadhaka Shreshta Ratna award in recognition of his contributions and achievements in the field of journalism.

Earlier, he has also been honoured with the Karnataka Media Ratna award and the Devanampriya Priyadarshini Ashoka award.
