Mangaluru, Jan 30: Air India Express is set to launch a new schedule for the direct international flight service connecting Doha and Mangaluru, providing a major boost to air connectivity for passengers travelling between the Gulf region and coastal Karnataka.

The new Doha–Mangaluru–Doha service will commence from April 1, 2026. The new route is expected to significantly benefit expatriates, business travellers, and families with strong ties between Qatar and the Mangaluru region.

As per the schedule, flights from Doha to Mangaluru will operate on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, departing Doha at 12.30 am and arriving in Mangaluru at 7.15 am.

The Mangaluru to Doha flights will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, with departure from Mangaluru at 10.00 pm and arrival in Doha at 11.30 pm.

The introduction of this service is expected to enhance travel convenience, reduce transit time, and strengthen cultural and economic links between the two destinations. The new route has been welcomed by the Mangaluru diaspora in Qatar, who have long been demanding more direct flight options.
