Bantwal, Feb 1:
A burglary was reported at the residence of an advocate near Okketturu Royal Villa in Vittal, Bantwal taluk.

The theft took place at the house of advocate Safiya Naufal. The family had reportedly gone abroad about a month ago, and the house was locked and unoccupied at the time of the incident.

Miscreants are suspected to have broken open the front door and entered the house. They reportedly ransacked cupboards inside the house and, finding no valuables, made away with certain documents belonging to the advocate.

The incident came to light after local residents noticed the house door open and alerted the family. Further details are awaited.
