Kasargod, Feb 3: The death toll in a family dispute related to a property issue at Thuminad Hill Top in Manjeshwar has risen to two.
In the incident, a daughter named Jumaila was allegedly killed by her own father on Monday evening. Her uncle, Sheikh Kunhi, who had sustained serious stab injuries during the same incident, succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday February 3 at a hospital in Mangaluru.
According to reports, the incident occurred following a domestic dispute and an argument over property. Umar Farooq allegedly attacked and killed his wife’s sister’s husband, Sheikh Kunhi, during the clash.

When the altercation took place, Jumaila and Sheikh Kunhi attempted to intervene, during which both sustained severe stab injuries. While Jumaila died on Monday evening, Sheikh Kunhi, who was undergoing treatment, passed away on Tuesday morning.
The incident has shocked the local community, and further investigation is underway.
