Dubai, Feb 5: The countdown has begun for Sur-Rangani, the most awaited and innovative Konkani event which marks a grand celebration of Konkani music and theatre. Kalaamruth is all set to present Sur-Rangani on February 7, at the Emirates Theatre, Dubai, promising an unforgettable evening of soulful music and acclaimed theatre experience for Konkani art lovers. The event celebrates the vibrancy, richness, and cultural legacy of the Konkani language through music and drama.
Noted musician Denzil Pereira of ‘Blue Angels’ choir fame, lead singers Jason Lobo and Bindu Cutinha arrived at Dubai International Airport on February 4. They were accompanied by Fr Jerome Monteiro - parish priest of Pernal parish.




The artistes received a warm welcome at the airport by Kalaamruth team.
The evening will commence with a Konkani musical concert, featuring renowned singers and accomplished musicians from the Konkani cultural scene. The concert promises a captivating blend of soulful melodies, traditional tunes, and contemporary Konkani compositions, appealing to audiences across all age groups.
Following the musical concert, audiences will be treated to a critically acclaimed Konkani drama, ‘CHAFRA’S Hando Utla’. The play highlights socially relevant themes while showcasing the richness of Konkani literature, humour, and storytelling.
The tickets are sold out for the event, and the organizers have urged the Konkani audience to arrive on time as the show starts at 6 pm sharp with entertainment right from the start.
