Mangaluru: Accused held while attempting to sell MDMA drug in Mulki

Mangaluru, Feb 6: Mulki police, under the Mangaluru city commissionerate limits, have taken into custody an accused who was allegedly attempting to sell MDMA narcotic substance and have seized about 14.9 grams of MDMA valued at approximately Rs 1.50 lac.

Acting on specific and reliable information, Mulki police station sub-inspector Raghavendra Naik, along with his staff, conducted an operation on Mulki Railway Station Road within Mulki police station limits. During the operation, the police apprehended Mohammad Musahid (34), son of Dinna Moyiuddinabba, a resident of Sagu House, Haleangadi village, Mulki taluk, who was allegedly trying to sell MDMA.

The police seized around 14.9 grams of MDMA narcotic substance, worth about Rs 1.50 lac, along with a mobile phone and other materials used for the illegal activity from the accused.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that the accused had procured the narcotic substance with the intention of illegally supplying it in public places and to school and college students to earn money.

A case has been registered against the accused at the Mulki police station, and further investigation is underway.
