Puttur: Man Suspected of Killing Wife Ends Life

Daijiworld Media Network - Puttur (SP)

Puttur, Feb 29: Muralidhar (29), who was believed to have killed his wife, Renuka, from Kuntoor Keddotte near Kadaba, has committed suicide by hanging himself. His body was found hanging from the pendant roots of a tree some distance away from the spot where Renuka’s body was found, on Tuesday morning.

Renuka, who had left with her husband to nearby forest to collect fodder for cattle on Monday evening, had been killed with the help of a sickle and boulder. Muralidhar, who the locals said used to suffer from bouts of depression, had gone missing thereafter. With the suicide of Muralidhar, their 18-month-old child, Yajna, has been orphaned.

Muralidhar used to stay with his wife, child, father, elder brother, and sister-in-law at Keddotte. It is said he nursed a grouse against his father, who did not agree for the former’s demand for giving him a share in the landed property to enable him to start living independently. The fact that Renuka favoured living in joint family had angered him further, it is said. These facts, the locals feel, would have led to the said murder followed by suicide.

The family of Shivappa Gowda, father of Muralidhar, which had prepared to perform puja of the serpent god on Tuesday, was faced with the misfortune of having to perform the funeral of two members of the family instead.

Muralidhar, you should have killed yourself instead of killing your wife and made your child an orphaned. Since your are dead and killed your wife I have no respect to your dead soul.

Are you a human being? from past few months you are commenting rediculously. It is one's individual choice to watch films, serials. Who are you to tell? and moreover, here, instead of symathaising about that poor kid, you are blaming others who are not at all related to this incident.

According to your comment providing electricity by congress Govt is wrong. And they have provided electricity and TV right? I think TV has been given by you.!

Why you use internet? Any one provided you? It is also come from western.

You are a person who provoke others by your stupid comments.

In konkanni there is proverb called "Vaten vecha Vaga, maka yevn kaga". I am sure you know Konkani because it is not a western language.

I presume you watch western movies always, so you advice others not to watch. By writing like this, the people who have not watched may be eager to watch western movies.

Deon-the one who has pressed 'disagree' on your comment is related to the 'third
    umpire' from Australia who ruled
Hussey 'run out' by mistake! The Umpire however had a chance to revoke it !
